The Fight for the Survival of Free Speech
Most Americans are sleepwalking right now through the early reign of Obama the Magnificant. He tells them he is cutting spending, cutting taxes, and cutting the deficit, and they believe him. When they find in 2010 and 2011 that he deliberately misled them and has been doing just the opposite, and they are deep in the soup as a result, public opinion will turn decisively against him.
Next is to target the remaining holdouts, primarily conservative talk radio and the Christian broadcasters. Then the Internet. And if Fox News doesn't stop airing independent voices, and learn to toe the party line, the Obaman Left will further browbeat them.
Now is the time for true patriots to stand up and fight for the survival of free speech in America. Grassroots activism is needed here. If the Left shuts down free speech, we will no longer have a free country.

Exacting revenge for unpopular policies is the norm in the third world, heretofore more likely in Barack Obama's ancestral Kenya than in America, more in the tradition of gangland Chicago than in Washington, where we count on cooler heads to prevail when raw emotion threatens to overwhelm sobriety and the undisciplined senses. We recall perceived national mistakes with the sadness of regret and even gratitude for lessons learned, not the frenzied catharsis of a St. Valentine's Day Massacre. Mr. Obama, having won the White House fair and square, is entitled to change any presidential policy he chooses, but the vindication of a national election does not entitle any president to exact mindless revenge.
Perhaps the president imagines that nobody cares much about what happens to lawyers, but he has set in motion something neither he nor anyone else can control. Some of the Democrats in Congress, eager now to join the mob, will regret what they cry for. Rep. Nancy Pelosi, for one, was a member of the House intelligence committee and sat in on super-secret briefings after Sept. 11. She concedes that she heard about waterboarding but she doesn't remember exactly what she heard. Just like Barack Obama sleeping through 20 years of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright's rabid sermons, Ms. Pelosi dozed through the briefings. Her colleagues on the intelligence panel say they remember her demanding that the CIA do more to get the "intelligence" to prevent another attack.
Republicans in the Senate, including John McCain and Lindsey Graham, are finally finding their voices. So is Joe Lieberman, a courageous Democrat. If we're going to have hangings, Ms. Pelosi may be at risk of becoming our most famous female hangee since Mary Surratt paid her debt at the end of a rope for hanging out with John Wilkes Booth.

The men who donned Indian costumes and took part in the original Boston Tea party weren’t a bunch of un-serious boobs performing for the media. They were committing an act compelled by their real, honest-to-God human condition. Like the people of Europe and beyond, with independence burning in their souls, determined to escape the shackles of slavery and tyranny, daring to take on an unknown world for their driving instincts to practice the religion of their choice, freely speak their minds, keep and bear arms and pursue their own happiness, the original Tea Party participants needed to make it crystal clear that the British goons who followed them to the Brave New World would not be allowed to impose the limitations on our God-given rights that we came to America to get away from.

Obama seems to believe that if he just discards American history -- if he apologizes for our actions in Europe, in Latin America, in the Muslim world -- the rest of the world will offer America a clean slate. That demonstrates, first and foremost, a tremendous lack of pride in America's legacy of freedom and liberty around the globe. America generally needs a clean slate far less than any other country on the face of the earth.
Secondly, the Obama Doctrine demonstrates Obama's massively overweening sense of self-importance. Foreign leaders are not idiots -- if they sense they can elicit concessions from America simply by inflating Obama's confidence, they'll do it. Even assuming Obama's supposed international popularity, that popularity does not translate into a better international deal for America. Foreign leaders can stroke Obama's ego while undermining America's strength in the world. The world's fawning patronage of Barack Obama does not mean the world will treat America as an ally.

Perhaps we need an investigation not of the enhanced interrogation program, but of what the Obama administration may be doing to endanger the security our nation has enjoyed because of interrogations and other antiterrorism measures implemented since Sept. 12, 2001.

Can someone please tell us how U. S. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano got her job? She appears to be about as knowledgeable about border issues as a late-night radio call-in yahoo.
In an interview broadcast Monday on the CBC, Ms. Napolitano attempted to justify her call for stricter border security on the premise that "suspected or known terrorists" have entered the U. S. across the Canadian border, including the perpetrators of the 9/11 attack.
All the 9/11 terrorists, of course, entered the United States directly from overseas. The notion that some arrived via Canada is a myth that briefly popped up in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, and was then quickly debunked.
Informed of her error, Ms. Napolitano blustered: "I can't talk to that. I can talk about the future. And here's the future. The future is we have borders."
Just what does that mean, exactly?

Whenever close to 300,000 middle-class Americans put their productive lives on hold on a midweek workday, make original signs with their own hands, and travel miles and miles to stand with other private citizens just to demonstrate their anger with government, in more than 300 cities from coast to coast and everywhere in between, that's NEWS. Yet, many local newspapers - even the Boston Globe for crying out loud! - pettily refused to even cover their local protests. When every news channel - except the only one thriving on the block, Fox - finally decided to cover the events, it was with derision, mockery and elitist condescension.
Note to MSM: This is why you're going broke.
Not only has this president pompously promised the wages of our children and grandchildren in a profligate spending spree that guarantees serfdom for the productive class, he has bowed, scraped, fawned and apologized his way across the entire continent of Europe.
He has planned huge and irresponsible cuts in our defense spending, promised to do away with missile defense systems and heralded the day he will disarm our nuclear arsenal, so as to set a nice example for the resurgent Russian Bear. Obama has obsequiously bowed to the Saudi King, some of whose own subjects blew more than 3,000 of our fellow Americans to kingdom come a mere 7 years ago. Obama has called off the Global War on Terror, yet has no surrender treaties to accompany this juvenile exercise in hating all things Bush. He has welcomed Castro, Chavez, Ortega, Ahmadinejad and Hamas with open arms, salivating grins and friendly warmth, while dissing our heretofore friends and allies, even making a rude point of telling Israel's PM, Netanyahu, that there will be no face-to-face meeting with him next month in D.C.

The choice is clear: Gun control as forced by the Chuck Schumers of the world is complicit in every violent crime committed. Conversely, gun control a la Ted Nugent is putting the second shot through the same hole as the first shot, where innocent lives are saved and recidivistic maggots come to a screeching halt, felled by the lovely ballet of good over evil we call the Double Tap Center Mass Boogie. If I were Saberi’s Iranian-American father, I would be furious, and I would be inclined to call a press conference to say that, while it may be interesting to know the President’s state of mind, and even a bit sad that he is disappointed, American presidents are not paid to share their emotions with us. Among other things, they are paid to defend us from our enemies. He has manifestly failed to do this in the case of Roxana. I would ask the president very publicly, “are you going to do anything for my daughter or not? Never mind ‘I’m disappointed.’ What will you do for her, and for the other Americans in the grips of the mullahs? Or are you going to wait until there are dozens of American hostages in Iranian hands?”

I Am an Extremist

According to the U.S. government, I am an extremist. I am a Christian -- and meet regularly with other Christians to study God’s word. My faith convinces me the prophesies in the Holy Bible are true. I believe in the sanctity of human life, oppose abortion and want to preserve marriage as the union of a man and a woman. I am a veteran with skills and knowledge derived from military training and combat. I own several firearms, frequently shoot them, buy ammunition and consider efforts to infringe on my 2nd Amendment rights to be wrong and unconstitutional. I fervently support the sovereignty of the United States, am deeply concerned about our economy, increasingly higher taxes, illegal immigration, soaring unemployment, and actions by our government that will bury my children beneath a mountain of debt.

If this becomes the law of the land, that would mean a national candidate would only have to win the popular vote of the 5 largest population centers and the election would be his/hers.

At the request of the White House, Georgetown University covered up all the symbols in Gaston Hall, before the Great Man spoke, including IHS, the millennia-old monogram for the name of Jesus Christ.
Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus, had adopted the monogram in his seal and it became an emblem of the Jesuit order.
When it comes to rendering unto Caesar, Georgetown is not going to be outshone by Notre Dame, which stole a march by offering the nation's avatar of abortion a doctorate of laws degree, honoris causa.
Actually, it is regrettable the IHS in Gaston Hall was not covered up in shame the first week of Lent. For that week Georgetown's feminist and homosexual clubs, such as GU Pride, put on a Gomorrah festival about alternative lifestyles called "Sex Positive Week."

How The Daily Show helped elect BO
I like ‘funny’. But why do some Americans get their news and political views from Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert? I will tell you, because it’s the easy way out. Why make tough choices when we can blame others for the difficulties of life and at the same time expect those same folks to bail you out of your current circumstances? Both of these sit down comics are water boys for the Democratic party and for Body Odor (B Obama). They have been successful at the blame others, it’s not my fault, gimme free stuff, depend on someone more responsible and ridicule those don’t think the same, schtick. This is the hallmark of the Looney Left. If you don’t buy into this mentality then you might have to actually make some serious choices in your life and do something that might actually be difficult! Oh, the humanity..

(2009-04-10) — Vice President Joe Biden, under fire from Karl Rove and other former Bush administration officials for bragging that he ridiculed George W. Bush face to face in the White House, today claimed he had also once defeated President Bush in arm wrestling.
“We were all alone in the Oval Office, as we often were,” said Mr. Biden, then a U.S. Senator. “I had just dissed old Georgie with another of my famous presidential put-downs, when he challenged me to arm wrestle…the truth from my lips to God’s ears, I swear. So we get down on our knees next to that little coffee table between the sofas. And I get the grip on him, you know, the old Biden clutch grip. It was over in seconds.”
The vice president said he had promised that he would never publicize the humiliating incident, “but now that Bush says he owes the Obama administration his silence, I feel at liberty to tell the story…you know, since he’s not going comment on it, and no one believes Karl Rove or Dick Cheney anyway.”
Mr. Biden added that President Bush had reacted angrily to his loss, and pushed the table over to clear the rug for a “winner-take-all Indian leg-wrestling bout,” but Sen. Biden politely declined.
“You gotta respect the office,” said Mr. Biden, “even if the man is a failed leader with absolutely no followers, and has a bicep like Ann Coulter’s wrist. It was pathetic.”

Emperor Obama
Free societies depend on a degree of skepticism towards government power. Increasingly, the federal government is starting to play God in America. If you are not yet frightened by that prospect, you should at least get outraged. The Obama administration may not realize why yet, but many Americans are already there.

The Navy Seals saved Capt Phillip's ass; and Obama's. The One is being praised for his calm and intelligence. Since when is doing abosolutely nothing, 'calm and intelligent'? I will give Body Odor credit for letting the military do what they do best. Lets do a lot more of the same!

Despite the Obama administration’s (and its sycophants’) attempt to spin yesterday’s success as a result of bold, decisive leadership by the inexperienced president, the reality is nothing of the sort.
What should have been a standoff lasting only hours — as long as it took the USS Bainbridge and its team of NSWC operators to steam to the location — became an embarrassing four-day-and-counting standoff between a rag-tag handful of criminals with rifles and a U.S. Navy warship.
However, instead of taking direct, decisive action against the rag-tag group of gunmen, the Obama administration dilly-dallied, dawdled, and eschewed any decisiveness whatsoever, even in the face of enemy fire, in hopes that the situation would somehow resolve itself without violence. Thus, the administration sent a clear message to all who would threaten U.S. interests abroad that the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue has no idea how to respond to such situations — and no real willingness to use military force to resolve them.
Like the crew of the Alabama, which took swift and decisive action to take back their own ship rather than wait for help from Washington that they knew could not be counted on, Captain Phillips took matters into his own hands for the second time in three days, leaping into the water to create a diversion and allowing the NSWC team to eliminate his captors. The result, of course, was the best that could possibly be expected: three pirates dead, the captain unharmed, and a fourth Somali man who had surrendered late Saturday night in custody.

Obama Reaches Out to Moderate Pirate Community
For too long, America has been too dismissive of the proud culture and invaluable contributions of the Pirate Community. Whether it is their pioneering work with prosthetics, husbandry of tropical birds or fanciful fashion sense, America owes a deep debt to Pirates.
The past eight years have shown a failure to appreciate the historic role of these noble seafarers. Instead of celebrating their entreprenuerial spirit and seeking to partner with them to meet common challenges, there have been times where America has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive.
Some of us wonder if our current Overseas Contingency Operation would even be needed had the last administration not been so quick to label Pirates as "thieves," "terrorists" and worse. Such swashbucklaphobia can lead to tragic results, as we have seen this week.
To address this issue, I have instructed Vice President Joe Biden to create a cabinet-level Czar of Pirate Outreach and Buccaneer Interrelation. In addition, June 1-7 has been designated as Pirate Awareness Week, during which all federal buildings will fly the Jolly Roger and sponsor sensitivity training. Thankfully, my American Recovery and Reinvestment Act will fund free grog and hard tack for all attendees.

And when even those who dare to whisper a word of dissent to your absolute rule find themselves harassed, beaten, humiliated, and imprisoned. According to the Black Book of Communism, more than 100,000 Cubans have served time for political offenses in Cuba's equivalent of the Gulag Archipelago since Castro came to power in 1959. Among those particularly singled out for persecution were human rights activists, homosexuals, and religious believers.
Cubans who dare to oppose the regime pay a terrible price. Rep. Barbara Lee, D-Calif., who led this delegation and has been a Castro apologist for decades, should be deeply ashamed. So should they all.
Cuba's atrocious record on race was somehow overlooked by the Congressional Black Caucus. Last week the Stalinist regime that jailed and tortured the longest suffering black political prisoner in modern history (Eusebio Penalver) rolled out the red carpet for 6 smitten members of the CBC. All of these U.S. legislators met with "President" Raul Castro while a lucky three secured back-stage passes to meet Fidel himself.
Not since Ann Margaret's reaction to Conrad Birdie's kiss has anything been recorded to match these U.S. legislators' reaction to these meetings.
"He looked directly into my eyes!" gasped Rep. Laura Richardson (D-Ca.) "and then he asked: how can we help President Obama? Fidel Castro really wants President Obama to succeed." (no doubt!)
"It was quite a moment to behold!" hyperventilated Rep. Barbara Lee. (D-CA) "Fidel Castro was very engaging and very energetic."
"He's one of the most amazing human beings I've ever met!" gushed Emanuel Cleaver(D-Mo)
"Raul Castro was a very engaging, down-to-earth and kind man," according to Bobby Rush (D-Ill.) "someone who I would favor as a neighbor. It was almost like visiting an old friend," (a Freudian slip, perhaps? Bobby Rush, after all, was a card-carrying Black Panther who did prison time)
Lest we forget: these Black U.S. legislators were raving about a regime that jailed political prisoners at a higher rate than Stalin, and executed more people (out of a population of 6.4 million) in its first three years in power than Hitler executed (out of a population of 70 million) in the Reich's first six.

Obama's real message to Europe

I wonder if the "world", particularly Western Europe, understands what Obama has just told them?
As they stand up and cheer for the insults to America its president delivers, did they understand what those words imply?
He told them America is not a good leader, that we are just one of many nations, that we are arrogant, pushy, derisive of their great wisdom and partnership, and will not act unilaterally in the future.
Now. Let me translate: "America won't be saving your ass ever again. You're on your own."Here's how that works out: Obama is under the impression that all the European Left's caw-caw-cawing about America is sincere and genuine; that they really want America to stand down and never act internationally and unilaterally for the right and the true. He seems to believe that the nations of Western Europe don't really want the United States to be ready to defend them at a moment's notice.
He seems to think the people of Western Europe don't want us to be the country policing nuclear weapons around the world. He seems to think Europeans don't want us to fight their battles in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
He believes the European Left. And believes it speaks for the European people. Perhaps it does. Perhaps the decades of safety and security provided by the unappreciated parent have made the spoiled brats forget that the house they live in was built with American blood and treasure, and protected with American heroes and watchfulness and vigilance. Perhaps they forget that all the money they do not spend on national defense is shouldered by the American taxpayer...leaving all that "extra" money in Europe to be spent on socialist policies -- convincing them that the world is not dangerous because Daddy-America is always on watch.
But Obama's apologies are carrier-waves for a deeper message that everyone seem to have missed — especially the cheering throngs of European Obamaniacs.
When they really need us next time, we won't be there to help. We won't do a thing without the political permission of the governments of Europe, and the direct participation of their 'armies'. We're disarming and weakening our military -- for peace -- as you all have done. We're going to spend our money on "social justice" and progressive programs, not our warmongering military.
We'll barely be able to defend our own homeland. You're on your own. When Russia expands, when Iran nukes, when North Korea lobs missiles, when China moves...you're on your own. When Africa implodes...you're on your own. When Jihadists terrorize...you're on your own. America the arrogant and unilateral will have mended her ways, and will not presume to police the world and insult you with her unseemly strength and offensive moral certainty.
That's the hidden message of Barack Obama. He doesn't like Europe any better than he likes America.
So, Europe... how do you like him now? You sure you still want to stand up and cheer?

Perhaps they forget that all the money they do not spend on national defense is shouldered by the American taxpayer...leaving all that "extra" money in Europe to be spent on socialist policies -- convincing them that the world is not dangerous because Daddy-America is always on watch.
But Obama's apologies are carrier-waves for a deeper message that everyone seem to have missed — especially the cheering throngs of European Obamaniacs.
When they really need us next time, we won't be there to help. We won't do a thing without the political permission of the governments of Europe, and the direct participation of their 'armies'. We're disarming and weakening our military -- for peace -- as you all have done. We're going to spend our money on "social justice" and progressive programs, not our warmongering military.
We'll barely be able to defend our own homeland. You're on your own. When Russia expands, when Iran nukes, when North Korea lobs missiles, when China moves...you're on your own. When Africa implodes...you're on your own. When Jihadists terrorize...you're on your own. America the arrogant and unilateral will have mended her ways, and will not presume to police the world and insult you with her unseemly strength and offensive moral certainty.
That's the hidden message of Barack Obama. He doesn't like Europe any better than he likes America.
So, Europe... how do you like him now? You sure you still want to stand up and cheer?
